The Parish Council is an advisory board serving the Pastor as the voice of the parishioners.  The Council consists of at least 10 members who volunteered to serve and are appointed by the Pastor. 

Parish Council membership term starts in September and continues for 3 (three) consecutive years.  Members may be re-appointed for one consecutive term. Each September the new appointees are accepted by the Parish Council and from the 12 members a Board of Directors comprised of a Chair, Co-Chair and Secretary is elected.  A quorum shall be 50% of the appointed members.  On any Council action requiring a vote, a motion shall be carried by a simple majority of those present and voting.

 The Pastor, his Assistant and/or Deacon and single representatives of standing and Ad hoc Committees shall act as ex-officio members of the Council.  Standing committees shall be Trustee, Finance, Liturgy and Music and committees for various ministries in the Parish.  The Parish Council also chooses two teen representatives each year to serve on the Council.  They may bring forth any topics for discussion and they have a voice in all issues that arise.  Ex-officio members and teen representatives do not have voting privileges.

.Meetings

Meetings are held approximately five times a year typically in January, March, May, September, and November.  Meetings are open to all parishioners who would like to come and observe or offer input. Please check the Parish Calendar or bulletin for our next meeting time.


Qualifications

A Council member is a Catholic who is in good sacramental standing in the Church, is of excellent character, shows reverence and love for the Eucharist, and would like to be a positive influence and guide of our parish.
